Sweet Justice: A Last Chance Rescue Novel [Mass Market Paperback]

I've finished "Sweet Justice" the book in her Last Chance Rescue series by Christy Reece.

Product Description

Honor Stone is a young, idealistic FBI agent when her path collides with Seth Cavanaugh. For a girl who has never walked on the wild side, the dark and dangerous Seth is a temptation she can’t refuse. But then Seth walks out the door and out of her life. Five years later, Honor is an operative with the elite Last Chance Rescue organization and Seth is a desperate ex-cop searching for his missing niece — one of many young women who have mysteriously vanished from college campuses. Going undercover, Honor will attract the maniacal cult leader behind the kidnappings and find a way to work with Seth — while steering clear of the passion and need that’s just one touch away from explosion. Seth knows he had all the right reasons for the wrong he did five years ago. And from the moment he sees her — and takes her in his arms again — this former undercover man will risk everything for one more chance with Honor.

My Review:

Five years ago Seth Cavanaugh was working undercover to gather evidence against viscous drug kingpin Hector Clemmings.  He knew getting evolved with Honor Stone would be a mistake but he couldn't resist the temptation.  He wanted to protect Honor and his family from harm so he walked away from all of them.

Honor Stone was a young idealistic FBI agent who decided to walk on the wild side with the hot and dangerous Seth.  She was devastated when he left and walked away from their love.  Now she is working with Last Chance Rescue.

Five years later Seth gets a frantic call from his older brother Joel informing him that his daughter Kelli has been missing from college for a week.  Even though he is angry with Seth for the hurt he caused his family he knows he would do anything for his niece.

Seth hires Last Chance to help and is surprised to find out that Honor works for them.  They are forced to work together to figure out who has kidnapped his niece.  As they investigate they find out that other girls have been kidnapped and vanished never to be seen again.  Then they get a break and find a girl's body but the police don't think it's related.

This book was very emotionally intense with a truly gripping storyline, heart-wrenching love story and viscous vile killers.

WARNING:  There is incest in this story so if you don't like this kind of thing I highly recommend you don't read this book.

4/5
